I found the Atlas offerings more musically engaging than the reference cables they replaced. Music was presented with more coherence and flow in each of three systems auditioned.

The warm and involving atmosphere of the Zipper Hall in Los Angeles, where the recording was made, is beautifully conveyed by the Ailsa Achromatic. The surprisingly complex structure of the music is clear and detailed and poses no problems for the interconnect to handle.

This lack of artifice makes a good change from any number of alternative cables that seem determined to make an overt mark on the sound of a system.

A fantastic showing for its asking price, the Atlas Element Achromatic does not disgrace itself – even when partnered with some exotic equipment.

Be sure to try and hear them before you hand over your money for anything else.

The Elements replaced some far more expensive cables from another well-respected British manufacturer and to be honest, I could detect no loss of sound quality or musicality in the performance.

The Element Achromatic RCA is superb value for money and is very much to be recommended.

A mid-range cable that can take you just that little bit closer to the music.

Here’s a (cable) loom less concerned about minding its sonic p’s and q’s that has a winning way with textures and timbres and homes in on the emotional core of the music.

I have described the influence of Atlas’s Equator XLR interconnects as one of remedy, a very subtle emollient that trades crystalline, forensic insight for a sound that is both forgiving and musically compelling.

The Atlas Asimis are expensive but they are superbly constructed and, most importantly, have a gravitas few others can match.

The fact that various types of termination are offered for those Grun cables means that you can experiment to see what variant works best for your hi-fi system to hone the cables in order to get the very best from them. The end result is quite delightful as the Grun system produces a balanced sound quality, rich in clarity.

I find myself treated to a performance that retains all the elegance and refinement that I am accustomed to with this CD.

For the cost of this cable it can easily play with some other higher priced alternatives.

Swapping out a standard pair of interconnects and inserting the Atlas cables between an Oppo UDP-205 universal disc player and a pair of Longdog Audio LDA P6 monoblock amplifiers saw an immediate improvement. This interconnect is extremely clear and open, with impressive transient speed.

These well-made interconnects offer a sophisticated sound across a wide range of music, and are also great value for money.

Most noticeable was the reduction in background noise and an expansion of the soundstage.

In short this is an excellent cable that doesn’t break the bank but offers real benefits.

Hans Zimmer’s ‘Wheel Of Fortune’ demonstrates just how well it handles the complexities of a full orchestra. The music has tremendous presence and power in my room.

In short, the Hyper Integra is a sophisticated-sounding cable that represents great value for money.

In fact, the lower noise aspect of this cable is its biggest feature because, from that, all kinds of upper midrange insight and dynamic reach emerges from it.

…and the Element Integra is a great step up from many supplied tonearm cables.

The Element Integra represents excellent value for money and so comes highly recommended.

Subtle and smooth, there’s nothing to gripe about here – and as a first upgrade, the Element Integras come highly recommended.

Adding 3D depth to the pleasingly arranged and constructed soundstage, the performance added a layered arrangement that was surprising for this price point.

I have to commend Atlas for this great cable. It stands up to cables costing five times or more the price. It wipes the floor with any budget cables. It’s neutral, rhythmical, detailed and balanced. The soundstage has to be heard to be believed.

Working with the cable, our kit’s performance gained additional dynamics and detailing within a spacious, well-timed and tonally neutral sound.

The music exhibited greater rhythmic bounce and vitality than before. So, all round, it seemed to be a convincing win for the Integra-fitted Equator cables.

A basically transparent interconnect which presents instruments in a realistic fashion and never restricts the tempo of music. Add in excellent detail resolution and the Atlas should go to the top of anyone’s list at this price.

…the dream-like sound picture of Madonna’s Frozen was tremendously vivid with the Atlas Hyper.

They’re expensive of course, hence the company putting its new Ascent range in its ‘reference series.’ But if your system is worthy, these cables should ensure you’re getting the most from each component.

However, Ascent is phenomenally detailed and insightful in its own right and will make almost any system sound like it’s just gone hi-res… In short, this is very exciting stuff.

Atlas’s Asimi Ultra had already dispelled the myth that all silver cables sound ‘bright’ but the copper-infused Mavros Ultra succeeds in sounding smoother still. It helps instil a settled quietness to musical backgrounds, the system sounding free of grit and grain and yet not so luxuriant or sweet that the shimmering edge of percussion or brass is polished away.

Naturally, Atlas recommends the use of its Mavros interconnects with its Mavros speaker cable. With both in place the system took on a whole new dimension, offering greater space, depth, dynamics and fluidity. These new Mavros cables from Atlas have the uncanny ability to sound fast yet relaxed, detailed yet refined, fluid yet composed.

What is remarkable about these cables is how much detail is presented without having to ramp up the upper mids to bright levels. The confidence of the cables, in terms of presentation, is quite remarkable.

It’s hard not to be seriously impressed with Atlas’ Asimi and Mavros pairing. These are two of the very, very best. Plus, it’s good to find a truly UK high-end offering. Atlas is definitely on the high-end map!
