The Equator MK2 wins What Hifi Best Stereo Interconnect.....again!!!
Equator Award

Once again What Hi Fi have confirmed the superiority of the Atlas Equator by awarding it 'Best Stereo Interconnect' in 2008.

What Hi Fi said:

Atlas has followed it'#s success in 2007's Awards with the Equator Mk11. We haven't come close to finding a pair of stereo interconnects that come close to offering the same kind of value. Its well-balanced, powerful sound is unbeatable at this price point.

What Hi Fi in their Oct issue gave the Atlas Compass and the Atlas Fibre optic a group test winner award. (Best in test).

Fibre optic.

Listening to the blue ray disc of S.W.A.T., performance is just as good, with it revealing a dynamic sound, with fast, explosive effects alongside authoritative detailed dialogue.

Compass digital interconnect.

Up and running, it's clear we're getting the best run-through of our test scenes that we've heard so far, with more detail than ever being revealed and a wide open soundscape. Expensive but worth it.

What Hi Fi in their ultimate guide said:

Best: Cost no object: Atlas Mavros RCA to RCA interconnect.

Acomplishment and refinement are the key words here. With expensive kit, the Mavros works miracles.

Best: Cost no object: Atlas Mavros speaker cable.

Yes, it's really, really  expensive - but with the right system, this cable will send you to heaven.

In Hi Fi Choice, Alvin Gold said:

Atlas's high grade system ticks all the right boxes, with full architecturally solid presentation and excellent consistency between interconnect and speaker cables. best used balanced, this expensive offering is a rare touch of class.

What Hi Fi said in the August issue:

Atlas's Mavros interconnect and speaker cable are high end gold!

We know there are many readers that will never get past the price of these Atlas cables.Thankfully for Atlas, these cables are great performers in the context of an appropriate system. We're quite fond of the 15% rule, which says that you should spend a percentage of the total system cost on the cable. Start thinking of the Mavros in a 20 grand plus system and the price doesn't seem so outlandish, particularly when you hear how clearly this pair outperforms cheaper, quality competition.

What Hi Fi said in the July issue:

What Hifi Group Test
Atlas Hyper 2.0 another Atlas 5 star award. Group Test Winner!

"You'll quickly realise the Hyper 2.0 is a talented cable. It delivers a beautifully detailed sound. It's a clear step up in quality from the best budget cables, including the glorious Chord Company Silver Screen. If your system warrents this kind of cable, you won't be disappointed."

Atlas wins high praise.

Hi Fi news were impressed with the Mavros interconnect and speaker cable. They said:

Naturally, Atlas recommends the use of its Mavros interconnects with its Mavros speaker cable. With both in place the system took on a whole new dimension, offering greater space, depth, dynamics and fluidity. These new Mavros cables from Atlas have the uncanny ability to sound fast yet relaxed, detailed yet refined, fluid yet composed. If they were a wine they would be a Brunello di Montalcino. Enjoy!

Robert Kocijan  (www.audiopuls.hr) said:

I am still convinced that there is regardless of the price category, no audio component that (can) boast the satus of the best one, but if there is a combination of the interconnect and the loudspeaker cable which I may recommend without any reservations whatsoever for any system at all - then it would be this one. Does that mean it is also the best? See for yourself.

UHF Magazine in Canada said:

After the pauline Viardot song, Reine pronounced herself delighted, praising whatever this cable turned out to be without reservation (blind test). So did Albert, who however reached for more adjectives."It's beautiful, it's moving, the detail is refined. There's a beautiful balance with the piano, which is warm and limpid." Would this cable turn out to be better than our reference? We had more to come. The Margie Gibson recording confirmed the superiority of this cable. "It's magnificent," exclaimes Reine, "her voice is even more detailed. What a surprise." Albert agreed. "And it's not as though it were an easy recording.," he said. "Everything is well positioned in space, timbres are natural, the voice is clear. Everything is there, it's alive

A purchaser said: I no longer need to sit in the hot spot, I can get full stereo anywhere in my room, including the back corners. An other said the image is so big I need to build another and larger listening room.

Atlas will be attending the High End Exhibithion in Munich, Germany from 24th April to 27th April 2008.

The Atlas stand at the High End exhibition in Munich is D04. We urge dealers and distributors to visit this excellent exhibition as it's probably the finest shop window for Hi Fi and AV products in Europe. We look forward to welcoming friends old and new. The stand will be manned by Gemma and John.

Atlas to extend its UK offering thanks to its stunning new Mavros cable.

British cable manufacturer, Atlas Cables, has returned in triumph from the Las Vegas CES (Consumer Electronics Show ) 2008, where it demonstrated the newest cable in its range - the Mavros. The Mavros is already making waves demonstrating its superiority to all who hear it.  Enjoying a second year at one of the Show's newest locations, Atlas found itself surrounded by cable companies from all around the world.  Word soon got around the Show, however, that the Atlas room was a 'must visit' to experience the stunning sound being generated.   Describing the impact of the demonstration at the Show, Atlas' John Carrick said "The obvious superiority of the Atlas demonstration introduced us to many interested parties from both exclusive distribution companies, retailers and the international press.  From our own experience, and from comments made at the Show, we are confident that Mavros cables may well prove to be the best interconnect and speaker cables ever produced at any price!"  The hi-fi equipment used in the demonstration included the superb Mastersound integrated 300B tube amplifier from Italy and ASW loudspeakers from Germany.  So impressed was  John Carrick that the company has decided to extend their offering in the UK to retailers to include these stunning brands.  Commenting on this new development for Atlas, John Carrick said "The sum of the parts was a fraction of the cost of other demonstrations, yet the sound quality was arguably better than that being produced by those systems costing very much more. Both the speaker manufacturer and the amplifier manufacturer were amazed and immediately sought to use the Mavros cables in their respective demonstrations too.  We felt that including Mastersound and ASW within our portfolio was a fantastic opportunity for us - and for our dealers.

Atlas Equator II wins 'Best Stereo Interconnect' category in What HiFi's Annual Awards.
WHF Award

The Atlas Equator original won two successive stereo cable of the year awards from What Hifi in 2002 and 2003. The upgraded version using beryllium inserts in the plug for improved contact with nil vibration, together with improved 6N pure copper conductors has won the best stereo interconnect of 2007, surely confirming the Atlas Equator is the only one to buy for any serious Hi Fi listener seeking a cost effective quality interconnect.
