Atlas Interconnects
Introduction
All Atlas interconnects are researched, developed, designed and manufactured by Atlas (Scotland) Ltd, to provide the very best results possible at their respective price points. Our aim is to get information from one end of the cable to the other with as few deletions as possible. High quality oxygen free copper (OFC) of 5 or 6 nines purity (99.9997% or 99.9999%) is a feature of Atlas entry level interconnects; Ohno continuous cast copper is used in our superior quality interconnects. OCC is a product that was pioneered by Atlas and is the best material available for the transmission of sound because it contains almost no crystal boundaries that delete quality.
Atlas provide interconnects that may be dedicated to their various interfaces in the audio visual chain. Unbalanced interconnects employing co-axial cable that are made to connect analogue audio interfaces via one going conductor and the screen for the return path can offer good quality together with good value. Pseudo balanced interconnects use separate going and return conductors plus a screen and are designed for the connection of quality analogue audio interfaces. Both unbalanced and pseudo balanced interconnects connect via RCA plugs. Fully balanced interconnects using XLR plugs that provide three connections for separate going, return and ground paths are designed to eliminate noise. Such connections are employed in many superior balanced systems.
Interconnects dedicated to other connections include Tone Arm cables; cables for the connection of equipment employing Din sockets and connections using 3.5mm stereo sockets.
