Introduction
Discerning Atlas appointed distributors and installers for distributed sound and custom home theatre systems will not compromise the quality of their install by fitting inferior, ordinary 'contractor type' speaker or data cable. Atlas has specified and designed a range of custom cables employing flame retarding LS0H (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) sheaths that comply with current and future European standards for custom installation cables. These cables and the plugs that compliment them were specified, not only for fire/flame retarding safety applications, but perhaps more importantly for superior sound and video quality. Taking into account the the requirements for in-wall and in-ceiling speakers, Atlas supply the LS0H 2 conductor and LS0H 4 conductor speaker cables using stranded OFC 16 awg conductors that provide clarity together with a controlled and substantial bass response.
Two RG59 coaxial cables are also provided for audio or video, one in LS0H for a hidden cable and a tastefully finished pearl white RG59 for areas where the cable needs to blend in with decor.
All the cables may be easily terminated using the Atlas compression plugs for RCA, BNC or F type with the atlas cable cutters, cable strippers and compression tools to give a reliable conductor to plug contact within a moisture and air tight seal. Speaker cables may be easily terminated using Atlas Z plugs with the Atlas compression tool to provide an air tight seal. Atlas have taken away the tedious and sometimes dangerous need to solder install cables in cramped or awkward situations whilst at the same time creating a far more durable and reliable connection.
